Fees and contact
How do I contact you?
If you are considering the possibility of us working together, you can contact me on my email, firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone on 07507 070118. Please can you let me know if you would like us to meet at Meadowbank premises or West Calder premises. After that initial contact we can arrange to meet for an initial appointment. Counselling appointments are for 60 minutes, usually weekly, and in the initial meeting I hope to be able to support you to decide if it feels right for you to proceed with the counselling work.
How long will counselling last?
This is something we can talk about during the first or initial sessions. Some people want to work on a specific issue in a very direct way and we can negotiate a number of sessions, or others find that it takes quite some time to feel the benefits of counselling and so sessions last for a longer period of time. I would always chat to you about this at the beginning.
How much does it cost?
My fee for individual counselling work is £40, and this can be paid in cash at each session or by bank transfer. I have a limited number of reduced cost places so please ask. My fee for couple counselling is £45.
What about counselling supervision?
For supervisory work, I offer a free half hour consultation to enable you to make an informed decision about choosing a supervisor that meets your needs. This can sometimes mean taking into account the requirements of training bodies or agency policies. Thereafter, supervision sessions are usually for 1 hour or 1.5 hours, depending on your needs and if you have counselling membership requirements to meet.
My fees for supervision work are £45 for one hour for qualified counsellors and a reduced fee of £35 per hour for trainee counsellors. Fees may be negotiated depending on circumstances so please do ask about that.
