Qualifications, professional memberships and my special interests

My professionally recognised qualifications include a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Strathclyde, a BACP Accredited course and I am also qualified as a counselling supervisor, having completed the COSCA Certificate in Counselling Supervision(2007).I am also trained and COSCA Accredited as a counselling skills trainer and I am an EMDR Practitioner.

My professional associations and memberships include being an Accredited member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and a member of COSCA for my training work. My membership is also with the Professional Standards Agency Register.

My areas of special interest lie with working with people and their sense of identity. This includes many years working with people who identify as LGBTQI+. I also have a special interest in working with people who experienced childhood trauma and mental health issues.

As part of my BACP accreditation I commit to regular Continuous Professional Development courses, some of which have included:
